January 22nd, 2008 | Category: Guides

The power supply is very important in your machine, it gives the machine life. Many people don’t care a lot what power supply they use and buy the cheapest one. Here i will recommend a few good power supplies for you machine.

A computer today uses from 100 to 400 Watt maximum, it depends on how powerful your system is. However this does not mean that a power supply on 400 Watt will be enough for all the components in your computer.

The Economic Choice

Corsair VX450W is a power supply with a okay effect level for the normal user. This power supply is also very cheap you won’t have to spend more then 60$ for it. This power supply does not feature the best, but they are very acceptable for the price and very good in this class. This power supply features a okay effect level and it is very quiet. This is a perfect solution for the average user.

The Middle Class

Chill Innovation CP-520A4 is produced by a new company from Denmark. This power supply offers 520 Watt which shows good results. The power supply is very good but the cables are a little bit short. It is also very quiet, almost soundless. The price is also not to bad, for 80$ this power supply can be yours.

The Soundless

Fortron Source Zen 400W does not have any fan installed in it and it is still very stable. however the cables are very short. With 400 soundless Watt i highly recommend this powersupply if you have your PC on your living room or you bedroom. You will be able to find it online for around 130$

The Ultimate Power Pack

PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1200 W is really a monster of a power supply, targeted for the most extreme gamers who don’t care how much noise the fan makes. This power supply is very stable even though the extreme effect usage. The PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1200 W is made with quality and a great design.
This power supply has a effect level that came over 80% on its tests. Naturally enough this power supply is well known to make some noise. A powerful supply as this is not cheap and you have to pay at least 500$ for it and it comes with 7 years guaranty so i would say its a safe investment.
