First graphic card with 2 GB memory
The first video card with 2 GB memory is on the way. MSI shows the card on Cebit wich is a Geforce 9600 GT with 2 GB memory. After a few tests i done with the 9600 GT and the 8800 GT i found out that the 8800 GT is still slightly better, so the question is “would is be necessary with 2 GB memory on a card that performs worse than the 8800 GT?”
Like Will Smith usually i says “ohh hell no” there would be no need for so much ram on a middle class card. This is simply a PR stunt from MSI. The cars rubs with standard frequency for th memory and he core which means it will run on 650/1800. The 2 GB memory is also DD3, but i wish they could get DDR4 like the Radeon 3870. It is however unknown when the card will be out on the open market.
