AMD’s Puma Platform Soon Ready
The coming Puma platform from AMD is only for laptops and it will give Intel’s Centrino a great deal of competition. The platform will be based upon the griffin processor and M780 or M780G chipset. The G-version uses a Radon graphic core which also support decoding of HD-video. AMD had some prblems with K10 but Griffin will work very good. Griffin is based on another hardware architecture and its been made especially for laptops only. The processor is howver sameon 65 nm.

The American Technology Research, says the chances are big that the Puma platform will get the same problems as the K10. AMD however, claims that there will be no such errors in Puma and that their new platform is immune to this error. I guess we will find out for sure when Puma launches later this year. Next year AMD plans to release the Shrike platform which will take over for Puma
