Intel Core 2 Duo E8000

February 02nd, 2008 | Category: Hardware News

Buyers who would like to run on the new Intel processors etched into 45 nanometers, the new Core 2 Duo E8000 series, will have to wait for a long time before they can get a processor in this series.

In fact, according to Digitimes the latest Intel processors are delivered in small quantities, although insufficient to meet demand. The price of the E-series has now increased of 20%. A concrete example to illustrate this: initially the E8400 running at 3 GHz was to be offered at a price of E6750 running at 2.66 GHz is currently sold € 152.36. It so happened that the E8400 is currently being sold for € 170.90.

* Core 2 Duo E8200 (2.66 GHz) from € 151.85.
* Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16 GHz) from € 239.91.

My sources says Intel would voluntarily slowed deliveries of these processors in order to sell the best processors in the series E6000 (engraved 65-nanometer) remaining. It now remains to be seen how long this situation will continue. According to Digitimes, it will last for around 1 month.
