AMD Phenom 9700 and 9900
AMD found a critical error in Phenom on November last year, after this they got forced to wait with the launch of 9700 and 9900. However, according to Digitimes both AMD Phenom 9700 and 9900 will be demonstrated at Cebit in the beginning of March. The 9100E model on 1,8 GHz/65W will also be there. These models are baed on the new B3 version of the Phenom core and should not have any errors.
So far the processors will only be shown at Cebit and won’t be on the market before July/August 2008. Phenom 9700 and 9900 was originally meant to be clocked to 2,4 and 2,6 GHz. Since these products won’t be able before July/August AMD is talking about clocking them even further in a hope that they will beat Intel. However this has not been confirmed yet.
